How To Use DTF Hot Melt Adhesive Powder
Here is a general overview of how DTF is used for T-shirt applications:
1. Design Creation: The first step is to create or select the design that you want to transfer onto the T-shirt. This can be done using graphic design software or by purchasing pre-made designs.
2. Print the Design onto Transfer Film: The design is then printed onto a specialized transfer film that has a layer of DTF hot melt adhesive powder. The design should be printed in reverse (mirror image) so that it appears correctly when transferred onto the T-shirt.
3. Transfer the Design onto the T-Shirt: Place the T-shirt on a heat press machine, ensuring it is smooth and free from wrinkles. Position the cut-out design with the adhesive side facing down onto the desired location on the T-shirt. Apply heat and pressure using the heat press machine according to the manufacturer's instructions. The heat activates the DTF hot melt adhesive, causing it to bond with the fabric of the T-shirt.
4. Peel off the Transfer Film: Once the heat and pressure process is completed, carefully peel off the transfer film from the T-shirt. The design should remain bonded to the fabric.
5. Cure and Finish: Depending on the specific DTF adhesive powder used, it may require additional curing or finishing steps. This could involve heat-setting the design or washing the T-shirt to enhance the durability and longevity of the transferred design.
